The work
Rasa Shastra is the classical discipline of preparing herbo-mineral medicines. It is slow by design. The patience isn’t a marketing story; it’s the method.
Minerals arrive raw and unusable. They're put through repeated cycles of heating and quenching in prescribed media until what remains is fit to enter a formula. The cycle count isn't arbitrary; it's set by the classical text for that substance.
Then the grinding, by hand, for as long as the preparation demands. It's the least glamorous stage and the one that most determines whether the finished medicine works.
Too much heat and the preparation is spoiled. Too little and it stays inert. No instrument tells you when it's right. That judgement is the craft, and it's why this is taught by apprenticeship rather than manual.
Some batches take three years to complete. Nothing about that is efficient. It's the reason the range stays small.
The furnace and the kitchen
The same rule governs our facility and the kitchen: the right fire heals, the wrong one harms. It’s why we make medicines with patience, and why we also sell the flour, ghee, rice and honey that make up an ordinary day.
